Side-Line Music Magazine Article - :Wumpscut: presents 'DJ Dwarf 11'

Out on Beton Kopf Media on Valentine's Day is :Wumpscut:'s "DJ Dwarf 11". This special 12 tracks CD is mostly used by :Wumpscut: for DJ promotion. The DJ Dwarf CDs have always featured mostly exclusive material, not included on the album/box editions. The latest installment also features two tracks :Wumpscut: remixed for other artists: Mortiis and St. Anthony.

The disc comes in a super jewel case.

On a side-note, while the band is often dissed by many as being old, not adapted to today's music etc., we'd like to point out that :Wumpscut: still is the best selling artist TODAY in the industrial scene. Yes, mister Ratzinger outsells every single band in the industrial scene, worldwide. So perhaps some need to show some more modesty when dissing :Wumpscut:.

:Wumpscut: is an electro-industrial music project from Germany. It was founded in May 1991 by Bavarian disc jockey Rudolf "Rudy" Ratzinger. Ratzinger cites the influence of such bands as Leaether Strip as his reason for making the transfer from DJing to recording music.

"Defcon" was the first demo issued by :Wumpscut: in late 1991 but it was the release of the song "Soylent Green" which first attracted attention to :Wumpscut:.

Ratzinger started his own record label, Beton Kopf Media, in 1995, used exclusively to release :Wumpscut: material only. In 1996, he started the label Mental Ulcer Forges which was shut down after a while, though this label was finally relaunched in 2006. The label released albums by the following bands: Remyl, Noisex, B-Ton-K, Yendri and F/A/V. Rudy also managed the label Fleisskoma with Karl Kimmerl (B-Ton-K), which has released work by the electronic band Press to Transmit.

The rest is history.
